Global warming has been defined as the progressive gradual rise of the Earth's average surface temperature caused in part by increased concentrations of Greenhouse Gases in the atmosphere.  Every day events like riding in a car, using the stove or turning on the lights increases our carbon footprint, as a result of our reliance on fossil fuel combustion.
